OPOMUN 2026

OPOMUN 2026: Behind the Scenes

Emilia Braga Orbach, OPOMUN Media Team

OPOMUN thrives on broad collaboration. We all, whether directly involved or not, must truly recognize the efforts of the Executive Team, Chairs, Admin Staff, Hospitality, and Media Team whose work behind the scenes makes OPOMUN possible.

From afar, the Media Team may seem like they are simply taking pictures and going on breaks all day relaxing, right? If only it were that simple. The full job consists of 12 members who work incredibly hard every day with: photo and video editors, photographers, camera operators, social media managers, the Head of Media, and, of course, journalists.

The Chairs work tirelessly to keep OPOMUN in order and to create a safe and welcoming environment for all. A space where no opinions are judged, where everyone feels comfortable speaking freely, and where inclusivity is at the heart of every debate. They lead discussions, make critical decisions, and ensure the flow of debate remains stable and secure.

Our Admin Staff are a critical part of OPOMUN’s seamless execution. Admin Staff support delegates in every practical way, from selling merch, to setting up the Venue and CLIP for these three days. If you are ever lost, the Admin Staff is always there. When the Executive Team needs help, the Admin Staff is always there. All logistics have been curated with the help of the Admin Staff.

Our biggest thank you goes to the Executive Team, which manages logistics, assigns countries, oversees staff and media, and organizes events. Hospitality orchestrated a memorable social event, from planning to execution, shaping participants’ experiences. Everything is in the hands of our dear Executive Team, and we wouldn’t have had a functional OPOMUN without their amazing work.

Our team is deeply thankful for everyone involved, and we hope to continue spreading appreciation for our fellow members working on the inside.
