A few (many) words from our Secretary-General

Dear MUN Director,

As it would be our pleasure to include your school’s participation in the 15th edition of OPOMUM, it is our priority to keep you updated and on the same page. As such we would like to inform you that, after having discussed the current COVID situation with our school’s directory, we have decided to host OPOMUN 2022 online for the time being. This decision will be re-evaluated during the month of December to assess any possible change.

In the situation of an online conference, only a symbolic fee of €20 per delegate will be due, which will be donated to the Kukula project, a program OPOMUN has been supporting, among other charity depending on the amount raised. You can find more information about this project at http://www.universalcorp.com/Education/KukulaProject. However, if we later would be able to host an in-person event, we will inform you of the standard fee to be charged to each participant.

Usually, we host a three-day conference, from Thursday to Saturday. Yet, we have decided to reduce its length to two days, from the 24th to the 25th of February 2022 (Thursday to Friday). This decision aims to maintain high standard debates throughout the whole conference, even if it is an online event.

We have also just launched the updated OPOMUN 2022 website (www.opomun.com), where you can browse through previous editions of the conference and find further information regarding next year’s event.

Please be reminded that each school must submit the enrollment form until the 15th of November 2021, if they have not done so already. You can do so at https://opomun.com/school-registration. If you wish to enrol more than 15 delegates, then, feel free to contact us.

If you have any queries, please email us through [email protected] or use the contact form on our website. Our team and I will be more than happy to help you!

Yours faithfully,

Franchesca De Abreu

OPOMUN 2022 Secretary General
